Women for Missions
Many of the ladies at Tabernacle participate in this ministry.  Fundraisers and food drives are held throughout the year to benefit those in need.  A gigantic yard sale is held each year (usually in August or September) with 100% of the proceeds going to foreign and local missions.

Gulf Coast Reconstruction Teams
Tabernacle sends mission teams to Gulf Coast areas affected by hurricanes and tornados when needed.  They show God's love by roofing houses, painting, putting up drywall, cleaning & helping however else they are needed.  Whether you have construction experience or just some extra elbow grease to share, we invite you to be a part of this experience.

Local food banks

There are several food banks in our area that need our support. We have a bin in the back hall for your donations. As the seasons get cooler and jobs get harder to find, people are finding it harder to provide for their families. When you go to the store, pick up and extra item or two and drop it in the bin. Sources of healthy protein, such as canned meat, fish, and peanut butter are currently in need. We have so much to be thankful for, let’s share.

Habitat for Humanity
Having been involved from time to time for several years, Tabernacle participated in financing and building a Habitat for Humanity house in the Dothan area in 2007.

Overseas Missions

Many of Tabernacle's members have participated in overseas mission trips to Ecuador, Honduras, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Haiti and Africa.

Crocheting Missions Group

"Sisters in a Stitch" meets once weekly to crochet prayer shawls and scarves for those in nursing homes and assist unwed mothers through Wiregrass Hope Group’s ministry. They crochet baby blankets and booties to donate to those receiving help from this organization.

Salvation Army

Each year during the Christmas Season, Tabernacle members take turns manning kettles & ringing the bell for the Salvation Army.

Dothan Rescue Mission
Once each month various groups in the church cook and serve lunch at the Dothan Rescue Mission immediately following the 11:00 AM Morning Worship Service.  Each person in our church is encouraged to consider being a part of this program that is so needed in our community.  We always welcome volunteers to serve, prepare and provide covered dishes to take to the Mission.

Love in Action Ministries

Several of our members volunteer at this important outreach ministry in downtown Dothan.  Meals, praise & worship and devotions are provided for the homeless, community corrections & others in the community.
